This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by my good friend, Kaitlyn, of her home in Alice Springs, Australia (see the photo in the slide show on the left). I loved the energy and colours in the sky— it immediately drew me in and I was eager to depict this energy in a very abstract way through a painting. This painting has the most gorgeous texture, with many layers hidden underneath what you see here.
