"Red Desert Trail", 16x16"
This piece was inspired by a photograph of a trail I hiked in 2015 called the Larapinta Trail, located in the red desert of Alice Springs, Australia. When I went to go visit my friend, Kaitlyn, who lived in this magical place, I didn’t really know what to expect. I was surprised by the amount of red mountains that surrounded her home. Every corner of the Australian desert is breathtaking (check out the photos from our hike in the slide show on the left!)
This piece is a very abstract depiction of the photographs taken during our hike throughout the red rock mountains; however, I hope you enjoy the openness and mystery of this painting, and I hope it brings you a sense of splendid adventure.
Welcome to the Wild Places, love.
16x16”, cold wax and oil paint on wood panel. Custom pine floater frame included. Painting comes ready to hang.
