This painting was inspired by a memory of mine with my good friend, Kaitlyn, as we hiked the Larapinta Trail in the desert of Australia (see the memories that inspired this piece in the slide show on the left). It was truly an inspirational and life-changing experience. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I got to the top of the mountain and looked down over the desert of Australia— mountains, rainforest-life flora, and never-ending red rock— the Larapinta trail will forever have a special place in my heart.
