"Memories of Cape Town", 6x8"

This painting is inspired by the photographs and memories of my time in Cape Town, South Africa. I spent 3 months volunteering in South Africa back in 2012. During my time here, I had the chance to visit Table Mountain and Lion’s Head and spent some time hiking these beautiful wild places with my co-volunteers (see some photographs of these inspirational memories in the slide show on the left). I loved my time spent in Cape Town, especially with the kids at the local elementary school who I had the pleasure of teaching and preparing lunch for. As you can see (in the photo to the left in the slide show) they were crazy, wild and free children— they taught me lessons that will last a lifetime.

I hope this painting gives you a sense of wild adventure and endless possibility. Let it be a gentle reminder to have gratitude for everything this life has to offer.

Welcome to the Wild Places, love.

6x8”, cold wax and oil paint on handcrafted wood panel. Custom pine floater frame included. Painting comes ready to hang.
