This painting was inspired by a photograph by my good friend, Kaitlyn, while she was living and travelling in the Norther Territory of Australia (see the photo in the slide show to the left). I instantly fell in love with the mountain in the distance and the sunset sky above. I felt the energy and colours of this photo were so bold and beautiful, I just had to attempt to capture it in a painting.
